robin: Is PHOB moving?
NJ open mics: Pratt's in EHT has always been the location for lots of music in EHT
Amissa: Hi all. If we fall, we don't need self-recrimination or blame or anger - we need a reawakening of our intention and a willingness to recommit, to be whole-hearted once again.I am from Barbados and also now am reading in English, give please true I wrote the following sentence: "Airline tickets for for the best discount airline tickets and cheap holiday packages cheap flights and discount airline tickets for travel on all."Thank you very much :). Amissa.
Trenton: Could you help me. I never vote for anyone; I always vote against.I am from Benin and now teach English, give true I wrote the following sentence: "Get the airline tickets, cheap flights, cheap travel widget on widgetbox."8-) Thanks in advance. Trenton.
Jonathan: I do have one more thing that I would like to see at the shop. Power outlets that the customers can use. I'm here reading this fine blog , but my laptop power is low. The improvements that have been made so far are awesome. I really like that the couches have been moved, and the new pastries are good. Keep it up.
conny: I like the shop-it has a real city chic appeal. I think you could make a coffee corner lounge section for those who like to sit back and relax after commuting to work in Atlantic City. I am from the suburbs so I look for the industrial loft look to escape from the subhurbs. I really enjoyedthe bear claw pastry and cafe mocha !!! The staff who waited on me were very helpful and friendly. I hope to see some merchandise with your logo next time because my last name is Pratt, too.
Jonathan: I really like the shop, and I go there often. The only thing that I can say I would like to see is more comfort. the place is pretty industrial feeling right now. I would like to see a couple of comfortable chairs in the corner of the "quote" wall and the far wall with a side table in the corner and another couch or 2 somewhere in the middle of the floor. I do love "the wall" and I'm glad you have free Wi-Fi. Everyone is friendly and I have fun there.
Stacy: It sounds like you asked for two espressos thinking that you were asking for two cups of coffee. If you go to a coffee house, cafe, or espresso bar and ask for an espresso, what you will get is a shot-sized glass holding a small amount of very strong coffee. These are usually ordered to be consumed right there and they are served in very small cups. If your order was for two espresso's "to go", then what you received in each take out cup was a 1-1/2 ounce shot of espresso. If you ordered flavo
Jeffrey: I just got a cup of coffee to go, and when I got home to drink it, it was honestly the most expensive thing I have ever paid for, for one gulp and I am not even joking, there was honestly barly anything in my cup it wasn't even half full. Can someone please answer me and tell me if the person who made it didn't know what she was doing, or did I just spend 3 bucks are 2 little cups of coffee when I could have went to WAWA and got two 24oz coffees for the same PRICE! please someone comment on this

FAQ's

FAQ’s

Most sites have a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page.  While we don’t have a page dedicated to FAQ’s, I thought I would post answers to some of the questions we are asked.  These are questions we have been asked.  And, if they are on this list, its been asked more than once… seriously.

Are you a franchise?  We aren’t a franchise.  We are an independently, locally owned coffee house.  My husband and I run our business together with a select staff of really great people.  Our newest helper, Mary, arrived in July.  I grew up in the township and my parents still live here.  Opening our business in EHT has been a real homecoming for me.  Go EHT Eagles!

What brand of coffee beans do you use?  We don’t use a brand of beans.  Actually, we work with a green bean (unroasted coffee beans) importer and import the finest green beans from all over the world.  We have featured coffee from Ethiopia, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, New Guinnea, Africa, El Salvador, Brazil, and Sumatra, just to name a few.  Our offerings are updated frequently, just inquire at the counter.  The next time you are in our place take a look at the burlap sacks.  They contain unroasted coffee beans.

Why did you call it “Hill of Beans”?  After my husband and his morning show partner (also a good friend of mine) were let go from their jobs, it prompted us to pursue our dream of opening a coffee house.  One of the first steps in our process was coming up with a name.  Anyway, we had just recently watched the film ‘Casablanca’, and when Rick Blaine said the line at the end, “…it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world” we knew we had to name our coffee house “Hill of Beans”.  It was the problems of three little people that inspired our name.

Why coffee? Coffee… isn’t it what brings everyone together?  For me, coffee means so many different things.  It means family gathering around the table after a holiday dinner; friends getting together to exchange gossip; colleagues meeting to discuss business and sometimes, just an afternoon treat.  We wanted to offer that to the community.

Do you sell beans?  Yes, we sell our roasted coffee by the pound.  We also sell the green for those who like to roast at home.  We have a number of different origins and blends that we offer.  We can also order Kona or Jamaican Blue Mountain beans and roast them to order.

Do you have a bathroom? Yes, but we prefer to reserve it for customers (ie people who bought something).

How long have you been opened?  We opened February 4, 2008.

Do you sell baked beans?  Um, no.  Even though we’re called “Hill of Beans”, we mean coffee beans.
